Corvette Fuel Injection & Electronic Engine Management is the book that explains that system. Corvette Fuel Injection & Electronic Engine Management provides Corvette enthusiasts with a comprehensive analysis of the theories behind fuel injection systems. Chuck Probst, author of the authoritative Bentley books on Bosch and Ford fuel injection systems, has worked with GM and aftermarket engineers, trainers, and technicians to bring the same sort of inside information to an authoritative understanding of Corvette engine controls. The comprehensive troubleshooting tIn Prints and service procedures presented here are a great aid in mastering Corvette engine control systems. The book begins with a survey of the different fuel injection systems used in these cars: Throttle Body Injection (TBI), MultIn Printort Fuel Injection (MFI), and Sequential Fuel Injection (SFI). Probst covers the reasons behind J1930 terminology (electrical/electronic systems diagnostic terms, definitions, abbreviations and acronyms) and the engine management concept of Open Loop and Closed Loop Operation. In addition, oxygen sensor and heated oxygen sensor operation, traction control, Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), Air Injection (AIR), catalytic converters, evaporative controls, octane and fuel volatility are among the many thoroughly covered topics. Probst's treatment of On-Board Diagnostics (OBD and OBD II) involves topics such as misfire detection, crankshaft position sensor operation, Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor design, Electronic Spark Control (ESC), and Central Processing Unit (CPU). Before the sale ends...
Questions are always welcome at Chicago Corvette Supply or Chicago Carburetor. I try to answer all emails and calls (even hundreds a week!) but I am out of town on and off, so please try to inquire early on in the sale if you have a question. Remember: there is no stupid question except the one that isn't asked.
After the sale:
If you have a question about the item or shipment after payment has been made, you must send your name, zip code, and sale number to track the sale and shipment. Also, if a sale is unsuccessful I always welcome an email -- but remember that will not transfer the sale number or description in the header so you must include these on your own.
Upon completion of the sale, the successful buyer will be sent a notice with a payment total and other information. Paypal and Visa/Mastercard are accepted.
If you buy several items, they may be combined to save shipping costs. Shipments outside the continental U.S. normally require additional shipping charges -- so please let me know if you are from Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Canada, or anywhere else in the world in your first email to me along with your shipping preference.
The Post Office is the most economical option for shipping outside the continental U.S., but has a few disadvantages: it is slower, there is virtually no tracking, and it has been known to lose things. UPS is faster and has great tracking (which is why we normally use them) but it is more costly. Overseas orders can take a long time for delivery, so those customers must be patient. Overseas customers are always welcome, and I can accept Visa/Mastercard to help expedite the process for them.
To our Canadian friends: we ship north or south of the border on request, mark everything antique parts, and have some customers who clear customs themselves... or advise if you have any other special requests. Shipping to Canada via the Post Office can take a long time, especially on heavier packages.
